Ghana's junior women's team, the Black Maidens have headed to the United States to continue with preparations ahead of the start of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Coach of the team, Abraham Allotey has selected 21 players for the trip which will see the Black Maidens train in Alabama for a two-week period.

Cape Coast, Aug 9, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko gained a narrow 1-0 win over Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs in a friendly football match at Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.
The match forms part of preparation being made by Dwarfs towards the Premier League which kicks off in September 2010.

Ghana's male Under-17 team will line up against Rwanda on Sunday in an international friendly at home.
The friendly game at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra is part of the build up by coach Frimpong Manso towards the first round qualifying for the African U-17 Championship against Zambia in three weeks' time.

Ghana starlet Richmond Yiadom Boakye has set his sight on becoming a reliable goal-poacher after scoring on his debut for Genoa in the Italian Serie A.

Ghana's Under-17 team will partake in this year's Gradisca Tournament in Italy which is restricted to youth sides of clubs.
Ghana's appearance was facilitated by local football management firm, Atlas Sports Management.
Atlas Sports decided to hand the slot to the national Under-17 team, the Black Starlets, due to the nation's rich youth football development policy.

Egyptian side Petrojet have reportedly tabled a US$ 400,000 bid for Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo.
